Dan Garrett is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of SRG Financial Advisors, headquartered in Osage Beach, Missouri, and a Co-Founder and the Managing Director of Advisor Digital, a financial advisory strategy, process, and technology managed services subsidiary of SRG Financial Advisors.
As CTO, Dan works closely with Bill on implementing SRG’s firm-wide strategy, focusing on the processes, methods, tools, and technology required to deliver SRG’s proprietary process, The Mile Marker FORMula™, effectively and efficiently.
Dan earned a Bachelor of Music with a double major in Music Theory and Music History from Illinois Wesleyan University. After two years as a teaching assistant while working on his master's degree, and an additional two years as an arts manager and a music history and theory instructor, he made a career change that led him to become a graduate of Electronic Data Systems (EDS) Systems Engineer Development Program. Prior to joining SRG, Dan spent over 35 years in management and technology consulting with EDS, Cap Gemini, Whittman-Hart/marchFIRST, Hitachi Consulting, and Huron Consulting.
Born and raised in Illinois, he left the state after graduating from IWU. Dan spent the majority of the first 25 years of his career in and around Dallas, TX, with short stints in Michigan and Tennessee. Dan and his wife, Tracy, have lived at Lake of the Ozarks since 2007.
Outside the office, Dan enjoys playing trumpet with the Lake Jazz Band, boating, traveling, and spending time with his wife and family.
